Instructions
We were assigned a group project which is Project 3 – Execution & Layout on 29th October. We had to start arranging our content according to the principles governing good design to ease content and information communication of our chosen topic. We were advised to utilize accumulated knowledge to inform design decisions. We need to consider the topic to think of way to design our publication.
In the beginning we were tasked to do and try out different types of layout. As one will be selected to be improve on for the final.
Process
- Created 3 Layout on manual and then transfer the thumbnails to digital, as my manual is hard to understand and for lecturers and friends to have feedback on.
- In between the 3 layout, the content page weren't done as content page layout is done separately
- Next I try out with some typography and conduct my own analysis upon it to choose a suitable typeface for the publication
Reflection
- Found out that designing a layout which is able to reflect a techy and designer layout is not an easy task as spacing, font, and layout need to be taken into account as it plays an important role throughout the publication
- Hierarchy of text and space is important as it may guide the attention of viewers
